June First-Last Day of School

A beautiful day to end the school year. Peter loved dressing as Donkey Kong for a little Senior Prank today. Autumn was Princess Peach. William was not as sad as he thought he would be to say goodbye to his friends and teachers, but a little sad. Very happy to get a dole whip at the polar bear place in North Ogden. And James was quite sad to say goodbye to Mr. Wilson. He’s been such a great teacher for both William and James. They will miss him. We got our treats and came home. The boys are some ramen and I took a nap to get rid of a little migraine. Earlier in the day I could feel it coming so I took some Excedrin and had a .nice time with Ryan Will the boys were in school for a bit. I walked around the ward delivering BBQ fliers and then headed to school myself for the last hour. I said goodbye and dropped off notes and signed some year books. I got some instruction and advice from Mr. Demas and bid farewell for De. Edwards and Mr Stewart and Gloria as well who won’t be coming back. If not for Gloria I would not have the job I do now or the job I will have in the fall. I am grateful for her kindness. It feels good to be alive today. I love a new month. I love a new clean slate and new challenges. We rested this afternoon and watched Ice Age 3 and Peter took a bike ride and then William and I went to the super saver grocery store. We went to the ward BBQ at Jaycee Park and had a lovely time. Good people. Lots of good talk. This evening I felt a bit uncertain and realized I needed to make a summer plan. I’ve been so busy with school and work and the kiddos and all that I hadn’t yet made a plan and established some sort of pattern for the summer days and weeks. It felt good to do that tonight and get it down on paper. And good to be with my whole family just chilling and watching Ryan play Zelda. William fell asleep on the couch all snuggled. The cats played and eyes each other on the rug. Peter and James cave Ryan tips. And I used fancy markers to make our summer plans. It was most pleasant.

I’ve started recording five beautiful things each day. I put them in my yellow journal, but maybe o should put them here too?
