Groundhog Day!

I think I’d like to write a book about a woman who has taken penicillin since she was 12, who stops taking it when she is 43. And she begins to realize all the impacts she’s had from killing all the bacteria in her body for 30 years. Now that her flora is becoming slowly very slowly more healthy she feels more alive, more clear in her vision, more expansive in her emotions and scope of thought. She starts using words she’s read, but has never said out loud. She stops doubting herself so much. She feels closer to God. She feels and intensity that she’s never felt. And it makes her rethink all her relationships. Many days she is flooded with gratitude for life and eagles and peacocks. She is happy for mountains and stars. She listens to new music. Her husband notices she is less afraid and anxious in all aspects of her life. He likes the change, but worrie a bit about her stability. She feels a bit like the folks on the movie Awakenings. She wonders if the penicillin led to her oldest son’s allergies. She wonders what she may have missed out on. In the end she can’t think about that too much. The dragon dog. She knows she is right where she needs to be. And she is happy in a hopeful, real, way and is very imperfect.

Had to get that out!!

William got called back to try out again for daddy Warbucks. He is very happy. And James did not get called back. And he was sad. And I felt both happy and sad. They are such great boys and friends. Will was quick to comfort James. Work went well today. Learned more about the brain and neurons. Tomorrow looks like it will be full and busy. I need to get to sleep. But Ryan was just called down to work on something big. I hope he can figure it out and get to sleep soon. He’s already taken a melatonin.

Watched Groundhog Day tonight with William and James. Such. Good movie!!
