December 19: Peter’s friend party, sledding, and Christmas cards

A full a beautiful cold day today! We cleaned the house really well today and it looks so nice and cozy! Still trying to decide on paint colors and the sconces in the bathroom are not there, and the green couch in the dining room looks a bit dingy. But the tree is beautiful, and so are the decorations, and the Spirit of Christmas abounds! Plus it smells like chocolate and pine. A good combo! Peter had a good time at the party. The cake turned out great. The boys had fun sledding at the park, though James smashed into a tree and hurt his leg. Just bruised it, thank goodness. Ryan brought dinner home and played Valheim with the younger boys while Peter had the party. I finished shopping for his birthday and got a few groceries. Everything is wrapped and ready for tomorrow. And almost done with Christmas shopping too. Lots of moments of joys and light today. Great reminder from the prophet about sharing our light each day today with someone who needs it. I have a bunch of my old dresses to Annie today. That felt good. And texted Molly and visited for a while. And gave Andi our neighbor a hug. I loved my family and my extended family. I’m so thankful for them. I love my Savior and He loves me.
