September 21: Sweet, Bitter and Service
Rough moments and good today at work. I love the idea of my job, but the reality can at times be almost more than I can handle. But, I love to serve. I love to help people who need help. And these kiddos need help, some of them really do. And these teachers all can use a break in their weeks. So I will do all I can do help these students feel happy, and safe in the library, and feel a little more excited about books and reading. And help them realize that they are each the hero of their own story. And so am I.
I am grateful and happy to have 100 days left to reach my year’s goals. And I’m going to start a video log of these 100 days to chronicle my growth and mistakes and progress. I pray I can do this without love and faith and hope—and curiosity, not fear or judgement.
