August 13: Happy Birthday Stan and Junior?

How amazing are my kids? So darn amazing! It’s late and I need to get to sleep, but I have to say, William was an absolute sweetheart and made Stan a beautiful card with a horse and a sweet message and $20!! He’s making money now with his different jobs—dog sitting, mowing for the Neunzert’s and babysitting for the Kellers. And he is generous and kind. And I am so proud of him. James had a birthday party for his friend Junior this afternoon. I think. At north shore water park, I think. But we went there at 3, and there was no party for Junior. And I could not find the invitation or Junior’s parents’ number or anything. We looked online and all through the cupboards above the desk. And we couldn’t find any info. James got a little sad about it. He started to cry just a bit. And I felt horrible. But he was so sweet and took a few moments and then gave me a hug and was very understanding. He’s gonna give Junior the gift when school starts. And I’ll take him for ice cream soon or to the pizza pie cafe for dessert pizza or something. I’m grateful to be his mom. And grateful he forgives me for totally dropping the ball! And tonight we watched some Stranger Things-after dinner and Come Follow Me. We watched two episodes. And it’s so hard to stop watching that show once you’ve started. It was 9 o’clock. And Ryan and I were willing to have prayer and watch one more. But Peter said that maybe we should get to bed. It was late. It was just time. And I am so thankful that he was willing to speak his mind and that he tries to be responsible. And I am proud of each of them. So proud. And grateful.
