July 12: in my prime

It’s has been a glorious day and a confusing day and a day when I have felt a full range of emotions again. But that is in part because I am in my prime. I have a wonderful husband and three amazing kids whom I love with all my heart. I have all the prime of life things. A home, a van, a lot of worry and a lot of love. Goodly parents, and two grandparents. I have plans for the future and memories of the past. I am the target of lots of ads—especially for laundry detergent and car insurance. I love looking at lands end catalogs. I walk in the cemetery with my mom and sister while my boys ride their scooters. I play games. I take short naps in the afternoon when it’s so hot. And I need to wallpaper a room. And pick out fixtures for our bathroom. And so many other things I haven’t done. Because people in their prime are often quite busy. And it’s prime day and I have lots in my cart. But tomorrow is too—and more importantly it’s the full Buck Moon. And the new pictures of the universe from the James Webb telescope are absolutely glorious.
