July 10: Naaman and I have much in common.

 Spiritual Insight Today:

I think we need to stay here in this ward and this house for now. Peter working for the old bishop, working out with the new bishop.  Peter reaching down to Sam Cash with the sacrament. Sam and Peter both knowing how far they need to reach. Graham looking up at William passing the sacrament “Hey Will!” And clapping. And Will getting there first to prepare the sacrament and waiting, sitting on that front bench. So reliably present and on time. Graham Drawing a picture of me. Ryan holding him during the song, with Graham comfortably putting his feet up on the bench in front of us. James sitting in the grass in our front yard in his church clothes when I drive home from my fourth meeting, with Eliza and Sam and Miles Cash, all of them in a circle in the shade, discussing the amazing new Minecraft server they want to create. So. Again! The same answer comes. I’ll stay where you want me to stay, “dear Lord. I’ll be what you want me to be.”

Even though I really, really want to move to the five acres of forested land wi the the beautiful home next to Eugene Oregon. 

“You can have what you want, or you can have something better.”

Not sure all the reasons why we should stay, but feel like it’s just right for right now. This is the right place for this time. With these people. And this home. And this ward. These four amazing boys of mine.

But would you not do it if Elisha has told you to do some great thing!! 

By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. 

It may not be on the mountain height or over the stormy sea. It may not be at the battle front my Lord will have need of me.
