Terrific Tuesdays

Today was terrific.  Truly.  Lots of alliteration and alligators and alimony.  Sorry.  It's late, and I'm not very funny right at the moment, but it has been a great day, and I feel a lot of love for my family and my home.  I worked this morning, and Phoebe did not, but I got an email asking me to meet with her first thing on Thursday (since I don't work tomorrow).  Work went rather well, and then I relaxed a bit at home, did some laundry and then picked up my amazing boys and sweet Grace.  We visited, and did chores, and then this evening after dinner Ryan went to do visits with the bishop.  I love our life together.  I feel grateful to be alive and to have tomorrow off.  I need to go for a walk.  And I very much want to also.

Oh, and the big news of the day was that we have a new prophet.  And I know he's a prophet just from hearing his testimony today on the radio.  It was a wonderful announcement to the whole world.  Our new prophet is President Russel M. Nelson.  He's been an apostle since I was four, and I've heard him speak dozens of times, but today was different, and the Holy Ghost confirmed to me that he has been called and chosen and set apart to be the prophet for this season...for the time on the earth.  I am so grateful for that witness, and grateful for the Savior who leads and guides His church.  I pray that I can follow Him and that I can faithfully sustain and follow the President Nelson.  His counselors are President Oaks and President Eyring.  I am sad that President Uchdorf is no longer in the first presidency, but it all feels so right at the same time.  And we will still hear much from Elder Uchdorf.
