This morning I worked, and although I like my work, and the people I work with, it was a little tricky going in today knowing the boys and Ryan were hanging out at home. Plus I had to get up extra early to help clean the church before I left. I didn't have to, I signed up to help...I volunteered, and the only other person there cleaning when I got there, I should mention, was Courtney Raleigh who has an adorable three-month-old little baby named Karen, whom she was carrying around in a baby wrap. This is the same friend who I gave the baby crib and changing table to last fall (see my first blog post!). Along with a brand-new baby, Courtney also has a full-time job working swing shifts at a steel factory. She works in the office, but still! And here I was feeling sorry for myself that I had to work on a Saturday, and clean the church, and she was there before me and there after I left, and she was carrying her little baby the whole time. She had to have her baby with her, because her husband works days. I think he works at Arby's. She mentioned that she was pretty tired, but she is so happy to have her baby, and happy that Karen has gained some weight (she was pretty tiny when she was born), she said Karen takes a bottle like a pro now, and her husband, Justin, loves being a dad so much and getting to take care of her while Courtney is working.
The way we tell our story makes such a difference in the way we feel about our lives. I'm gonna tell it right....
