August 17: game-changers

 I didn’t catch a fish or a squirrel today, but I did take my middle schoolers to back to school night. And I did get them some amazing Avatar socks. And I did spend time one on one with each of my boys. And I did have some time with just Ryan this evening watching Stranger things. And I did finish all the laundry. And I did have some honest conversation and real connection. 

Mike, my baby brother Mike, is in the hospital right now. And I just want to fix all his problems. But Ryan reminded me that my priority is my own family and myself right now. I love him and I’ll try to help, but he is a grown up and needs to make his own choices. 

And James is gonna okay the tenor sax. I sure hope he is able to carry it. He is gonna be great!!
